Hi. Thank you for your ministry. I’m writing because I feel all alone in a particular concern that I’ve been praying about. That loneliness has been hard on me, so I thought that sharing that concern with you would help release at least some of my burden and, even more importantly, get more people praying about this concern. So please forward this to your prayer list department.
I have a friend named Denise. She’s very friendly and compassionate, but I’ve begun having some very deep concerns about her well physical and spiritual well being. I believe very strongly that she is a Christian; that she long ago received Jesus as Lord and Savior. She was much more than just a casual church goer. I can tell that from my conversations with her. And she’s a very loving mother. But I am concerned that some personal anguish and bad influences are in the process of leading her into a negative lifestyle. I also get the impression that she is turning away from the church out of guilt, possibly even fearing that she’s lost her salvation and done something that God isn’t willing to forgive her for.
She and her husband, Kevin, are going through a divorce. And while I don’t have a lot of details about it, based on what she’s told me, it seems that her divorce is based on convenience and just little quirks on the part of her husband rather than him being physically abusive, adulterous or abandoning, which I think are the only three reasons that God would approve of divorce. In addition, Denise now has a new boyfriend, who I don’t think is a Christian.
Denise and her family re-located here two years ago and I think in that time, Denise has begun hanging around the wrong crowd and drinking too much alcohol. She was arrested for drunk driving a few months ago but her alcohol consumption seems to have increased. And her new boyfriend is leading her further into alcohol.
This all would be a big concern under any circumstances but is even more so because Denise and Kevin have four children who are in grades 1, 3, 4 and 7.
Please pray for Denise to leave alcohol abuse and her current boyfriend. And please pray for her and Kevin to work out their marital problems and give their children the best home possible, and for God to be honored and glorified through the restoration of the marriage. And finally, please pray for Denise to know that all of her sins, no matter how bad, can be forgiven through what Jesus did for all of us at the cross, and that once she does so, she can live joyously in assurance of her salvation.

So am really wondering can we change God's will? Had a patient come in a while ago who had gone to another dentist who had prescribed a medication that if he had taken would have killed him... and we stopped that. Good thing for him..or wasy it..now a year later he is suffering from some illness/depression. He is local man and came by almost in tears becasue he cannot function or take care of his wife and asked me "do you think I would have been better off taking that medicine?" It got me thinking, had I not treated my cancer I could have avoided all the garbage I am suffering through...so just wondering if we interrupt God's Will. Thanks Rich

Hey there... my brother is suffering with a serious bout of depression and doctors cannot begin to find the cause... they have played with medications, psycholigists, even gone as far as giving him shock therapy but it has crippled him for the past 11 months. He is desperate and sometimes that is what God needs to get his attention. Can you please put him in a prayer chain, and ask for God's help for him and his wife? Thanks. This is a prayer request from my sister, Cheryl:
A friend of ours, formerly on staff here at Peninsula Covenant Church as our kids� middle school youth leader (26 yrs. old) had a diving accident Saturday in Twain Harte and broke his neck. He was airlifted to Modesto, then to Stanford and underwent 7 � hours of surgery to dig out the C-7 vertebrae fragments. He is completely paralyzed from the chest down.
Pray for Michael �Slim� Wilton and his wife Sheena (married less than 2 yrs.) and their families. Slim�s parents are not believers but Sheena�s family (very close friends of mine) are believers. They will need much assistance in the days, weeks and months ahead. Thank you for praying!!!

I got an email last night from one of the campus crusade kids we befriended on our thailand trip.He is having a colonoscopy today. His name is Vinnie. He is in daytona florida. I ask for prayer for him that it is nothing serious. Would you put this on the prayer chain.

my daughter Sami's boyfriend - Dylan is having issues with finding himself with the Lord. He is experiencing a hard time and his parents are fighting and are talking about seperating. He needs prayer for guidance and his parents need prayer for their marriage to stay together. They do have the Lord in their life. They were active at Christian Heights but have moved to Watsonville this week. They are a good couple no drugs, alcohol or cheating so we need to pray for them to resolve whatever issuses they have in the power of the Lord.Dylan is also trying to find a job in the Santa Cruz area so please pray HE would lead him to the place he wants him to work.
